Minderoo and Tattarang Acknowledgement of Risk Waiver
To: Minderoo Foundation Limited (ACN 651 422 141) as trustee for The Minderoo Foundation Trust (ABN 24 819 440 618) (Minderoo) and Tattarang Pty Ltd (ACN 055 961 361) as trustee for Peepingee Trust (ABN 44 994 119 389).
I wish to use a Tiller Rides eBikes (eBike) which is owned and operated by Tiller Rides Pty Ltd (ABN 40 618 754 555) and loaned to Minderoo and Tattarang for use by Minderoo and Tattarang personnel to travel between Minderoo and Tattarang offices located at 171-173 Mounts Bay Rd, Perth WA 6000 (The Swan) and 21 Hackett Dr, Crawley WA 6009 (Forrest Hall).
I acknowledge that:
(a) while Minderoo and Tattarang is pleased to offer use of the eBikes for efficient travel between The Swan and Forrest Hall, Minderoo and Tattarang does not require me to use the eBikes and I do so on an entirely voluntary basis;
(b) I will wear a suitable and proper fitting helmet while riding an eBike;
(c) I am in good health, fit, and competent to ride an eBike and I do not have any medical condition that would reasonably be expected to affect my ability to safely operate the eBike;
(d) I am not under the influence of alcohol or substances that may affect mental capacity, reaction time, or ability to operate the eBike.
(e) Minderoo and Tattarang has provided me with information regarding the principal features of the eBike and instructions for the eBike’s safe operation. I have made my own due and proper enquiries of appropriate sources of information in relation to steps I should take to minimise the likelihood of injury arising from my use of the eBike including:
(i)wathcing the "How to Ride the Roadster Tutorial" video on Youtube, accessible at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ttpxwXlXqM&t=258s and
(ii) watching “Introducing the Tiller Roadster 2022” video on Youtube, accessible at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDPEK3Q7aY8; and
(iii) watching “Tiller Roadster Demo Channel” playlist on Youtube, accessible at: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLw8VaRHkRnPzeGHnSKqu6I2vp5glPdpir;
(f) I will comply with road and traffic rules and I understand that the maximum speed of an eBike is 25 kilometres/hour;
(g) there are risks dangers and hazards associated with my proposed use of the eBikes. These risks include, but are not limited to, the risk of collision, slipping, falling and tripping which could result in temporary of permanent personal injury or death. I accept and assume those risks and agree to hold Minderoo and Tattarang harmless in respect of them.
