Join a great Australian company revolutionising urban riding

Always wanted to work for a start-up? Tiller Rides in Perth, Western Australia is looking for a new team member passionate about health, wellbeing and sustainability to assist with the financial management of the business.

Tiller Rides was founded back in 2016 to help address emerging problems in our cities such as car congestion, declining health and wellbeing, and expanding environmental footprints. With this in mind we have created a cutting-edge e-bike for urban riders wanting a healthy, cost-effective and environmentally friendly way to get around their city.

In the next 6 months we will raise more capital, possibly establish some debt funding, and take our first product to market - all of which will increase the complexity of our finances. We are now looking for a talented and experienced CFO to assist with setting up and managing the finances of the business to deal with the needs of the business.

About the role

The CFO will work directly with the Managing Director (and Founder) focusing on:

•    Reviewing the current financial planning, budgeting and reporting
•    Have overview of the budget; provide operational advice and strategic opportunities
•    Maintain a forward forecast of cash burn and project the financial runway for the business
•    Advice on financing the business
•    Run fresh eyes over the business and offer new ideas
•    Prepare a monthly financial report for the Board.

Initially this is a part time position, approximately 20 hours per month.  As the company grows, their needs will grow also, and they see an opportunity for somebody to grow with them.

What will you get out of it?

  • Autonomy and the freedom to be creative and innovate.

  • The enjoyment of being part of a fun, talented, passionate, hard-working & tight-knit start-up team. We work hard but always make time for a laugh and to celebrate!
